Privacy

Short version: we don’t ask who you are, your puzzle progress is saved on your device, and we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which features get used.

On your device

Which hints you’ve revealed, your play-along progress, and your scores and streaks are saved in your browser’s local storage so they survive a refresh. That saved progress stays in your browser, and clearing your browser data removes it.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect against abuse. We don’t sell data.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful: how many people visit, which puzzles they look at, and roughly where they’re from. We also record anonymous puzzle events, such as a hint being revealed, a guess being checked (right or wrong, never the word you typed), or a board being solved, so we can tell which features help. Google Analytics sets cookies and receives information such as your IP address and browser details; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out with Google’s opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies for this site.
